Club Time Trial Courses |
These are the courses over which the Club Events are run, apart from the
Royston Road course, all are run on relatively quiet rolling country
lanes, except of course the hill climb which is anything but rolling!
The descriptions below are the official ones held by the London North District
of the CTT, each course also has a Risk Assessment with which all riders should
make themselves aware of, click on the link to view the RA.

| 1U/10 (10 Miles) Southill - Old Warden - Ireland |
START on west side of unclassified road (Old Warden/Southill)
at GR 150428 and proceed northwards to T-junction at Old Warden.
Turn left to Cardington junction where left and continue under
disused railway bridge and through Ireland where left uphill
and left to triangle. Bear left over hump-back bridge and
continue to junction (changed priorities) where left through Southill
village to Broom cross-roads. Turn left onto B658 and go north to
RAB (G&M Growers) where left to Old Warden, through village
and left into starting road to FINISH on east side of road opposite the start point.

| 1U/25 (25 Miles) Southhill - Old Warden - Ireland |
START on south side of unclassified road Ireland-Southill
at field boundary (GR 141413). Proceed west to triangle where left
and downhill to junction with A600 where left (CARE)
into Shefford and then left on to B658. Follow through Broom cross roads (4.5m)
to G+M Growers where left to Old Warden. Continue through village,
past Southill-Old Warden and Cardington junctions to disused railway bridge
where left uphill and left at junction to triangle (10.7m)
where left over hump back bridge. Continue and take first left through
Southill village to Broom cross roads (12.7m) where left onto B658.
Repeat circuit via Broom cross roads (20.9m) and continue to G+M Growers and
Old Warden to Southill-Old Warden junction where left to FINISH at GR 142433.

| 1Z/16 (16 Miles) Cardington - Southill - Caldecote - Cardington - Sporting Course
|
START GR 112 445 On Bedford road proceed southeast towards
Old Warden and take 2nd right past old Southill railway station and turn left to Ireland.
Turn left over old railway bridge and proceed through Southill to B658;
then northwards through Upper Caldecote where left to Ickwell Green.
Turn right to Northill and left at Northill Church to Cople. Left at Cople church
to Cardington then proceed past BRCC clubhouse to FINISH GR112 445 on Bedford road.

| 61Y/10 (10 Miles) Holwell - Henlow (Pre-Clubrun 10)
|
NOTE - THERE ARE NEW RAB's ON THIS COURSE AS YOU ENTER LOWER
STONDON (ST GREGORIES HEIGHTS) - NEW TRAFFIC LIGHTS ON A6001 AT
ENTRANCE TO RAF HENLOW
START on north side of Holwell Road opposite LP No.7 east of Holwell
village (GR TL 171334). Proceed east to junction where left onto A600
and continue north, over Henlow Camp RAB to TURN at 'Carriage House'
(formerly 'Airman') RAB by taking 5th. exit.
Retrace on A600 to Henlow Camp RAB where turn left onto A6001 to Henlow village
RAB to TURN by taking 4th. exit and retrace on A6001 to Henlow Camp RAB.
Turn left onto A600 and proceed south to approx. half a mile past
Holwell Road to FINISH opposite J & B Fencing's entrance.

| 14Y/10 (10 Miles) Royston Road
|
START on north side of A505 at a point adjacent to last
catseye in layby after petrol station (not the slip road from the petrol station)
after Ashwell turnoff. Proceed onto Royston by-pass RAB (2m) over
Huntingdon RAB to TURN at A10 (Cambridge) RAB (4.6m).
Retrace over two RABs to A505 and proceed to left turn into
unclassified road to Sandon at Chesara boarding kennels to
FINISH immediately after entering the minor road.

| 6Y/H (0.6 Miles) Charlton Hill Climb
|
START (TL 170 262) at bottom of hill on unclassified road
(Charlton - Preston) adjacent to pedestrian gate entrance to farm
on r.h.s. of road.
FINISH just before top of hill at tree on l.h.s. of road
some 44 yards before open entrance to field.
